Supersizing things is back on for 2022!

#SuperMeet event to connect Kāpiti’s youth and employers is back on this June.

At the end of March, the Work Ready Kāpiti Board made the difficult decision to postpone their #SuperMeet event due to the circumstances with COVID in the community. 

However, now with restrictions loosening and mandates lifting the Work Ready Kāpiti team are excited to announce the new date for the #SuperMeet event!

When: Thursday 9th June 2022, 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Where: Southward Car Museum, Otahihanga
With registrations for employers reopened on Monday 12th April 2022 and rangatahi registrations reopening on the Monday 9th May 2022. It’s all go!
The #SuperMeet aims at connecting youth and local employers in a fun speed dating style event that will also include speakers, free pizza and treats - what’s not to love! 

What can you expect?

This is a speed-dating style event, with a huge variety of local business owners available to meet with youth.

Youth register and select the employers they want to meet with, from industries they have an interest in. Then on the night, they complete a series of meetings with their selected employers.

The meetings are like mini-interviews, a chance for youth to demonstrate their skills and abilities, whilst forging a useful connection with an employer from within their chosen industry. They can discuss their CV, how they present at the interview, the pathway into the industry and get top tips on becoming employed!

It’s an amazing opportunity for local rangatahi to get a headstart on their career journey and for local businesses to get involved in this journey and connect with potential future employees.
