2022, a year to celebrate!
We recently held our Annual Awards to recognise local rangatahi, colleges and employers who excelled in our programmes throughout the year.
This year the Annual Awards were held at the acclaimed Southwards Car Museum on the 27th October and celebrated the amazing achievements of the people involved with Work Ready Kāpiti’s 2022 programmes.
The Awards are always an amazing opportunity for the community to come together and reflect on the past year whilst acknowledging the successes of 2022 and this year was no different, with the largest attendance to date!
Most Committed Employer of Youth 2022 Award winner, Jan Thornborough from Intelligentsia said “I was thrilled to receive this award. Work Ready Kāpiti does an amazing job, and I was happy to help out.” Sponsored by Pzazz Building, Work Ready Kāpiti Youth of the Year was awarded to Macson Chartres. Who said, "I thoroughly enjoyed the prizegiving where I received my awards. I appreciate those who have helped me reach these goals”.
After a challenging couple of years, it was great to see so many of the community come together and celebrate all those involved in Work Ready Kāpiti’s accomplishments for 2022. It was a positive evening with a buzz of anticipation and excitement for both the award winners and the Kāpiti Work Ready Passport graduates who were officially recognised as work ready.
