Work Ready Kāpiti (WRK) is a charitable trust with a passion for encouraging Kāpiti rangatahi to get work-ready.

We support local rangatahi aged 15 to 24 years old to get work-ready. We also work alongside local businesses and employers to encourage them to get involved, provide placement opportunities and support them as young people enter the workforce.

Founded in 2018 as Kāpiti Youth Employment Strategy Group now known as Work Ready Kāpiti (WRK) the charity previously operated as an informal group and was established as a joint initiative of the Kāpiti Chamber of Commerce and the Kāpiti Coast District Council.

The group brings together a range of experience and expertise to build enduring relationships between our youth and Kāpiti employers.

We believe Kāpiti will benefit both socially and economically by young job seekers being work-ready and bringing fresh perspectives to our local businesses. We also see this as an opportunity for our local businesses to give these young people a strong foundation for the rest of their working lives.
